A Levels Celebrations for Students

16 Aug 2012

A Level students at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education are celebrating today after receiving their A Level results on Thursday 16th August. Their hard work and determination, coupled with dedicated support from their lecturers and a range of support staff, has seen many successes at the college.

100% of A2 students (the second year of the A Levels) achieved A to E grades. This is a 2% increase on last year's overall pass rate for students at Tresham. There were notable successes amongst students who undertook film studies, psychology and photography at A2 with these courses seeing 100% of students on these pathways achieving A to C grades.

These excellent results mean that students will now be spending the next few days confirming their places at university or with prospective employers.

Stuart Wesselby, Principal of Tresham College of Further and Higher Education,  (pictured above centre with A Level students) said:

"Once again we have produced excellent A Level results for our learners here at Tresham, making Tresham one of the leading providers of A Level provision in Northamptonshire. We intend to build on this over the coming academic year with an exciting new venture built around our A Level curriculum. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff and tutors at Tresham that we have built up our A levels to the high standards it currently enjoys. Learners tell us that the A Level experience in a further education college is both stimulating and rewarding due to the diverse nature of the college experience and college facilities."

Tresham College of Further and Higher Education is still enrolling for, part and full time, courses including higher education which start in September. Tresham delivers a wide range of courses across a variety of subject areas.
