Joe Tandy Racing (JTR) celebrated two British Formula Ford wins with driver, Joseph Newgarden at the high speed road course on the 7th July 2009 at Snetterton.

The talented American enjoyed a superb weekend of racing, supported by JTR, a European Formula 3 Team and British Formula Ford Team based near Bedford which has National College for Motorsport (NC4M) Apprentices working with the team and lecturer, Guy McCulloch working as an Engineer for the UK Formula Ford Championship during weekends.

Newgarden was the driver to beat throughout the entire event in his JTR entry, winning twice and standing on the podium in all three races that took place as part of the MSE Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain tripleheader.

These two wins at Snetterton not only added to his growing racing resume but also promoted the talented American to third in the title chase, 24 points back of second place.

Joseph Newgarden, the four time series race winner said after the race:

"That was a lot of fun. Our races are so close, the crowd has got to love them. I'm really pleased with the results, now we need to keep the ball rolling."

The National College for Motorsport has been working closely with JTR since the company was established two years ago. Students and Apprentices at the National College for Motorsport gain valuable industry experience as a result of partnerships like this and have been very involved over the last year building a Formula Ford car for JTR at the Silverstone Centre.
