Foundation Race Technician Course
Entry Requirements
To gain entry onto the Foundation Race Technician course you must achieve GCSE grade D or higher in Mathematics, English and Science. You must also attend a personal interview to discuss why you have chosen motorsport as a career.Content
The course has been designed with school leavers in mind that have no previous experience within the motorsport sector, but have the passion and enthusiasm to follow a career as a race technician.You will cover the core units of working safely and working with others in a motorsport environment as well as practical workshop skills. You will also complete a dedicated National College for Motorsport module on basic race car preparation. Functional Skills will also make up this suite of learning.
You will gain the City & Guilds Performing Engineering Operations NVQ level 1 qualification as well as a National College for Motorsport Race Car Preparation module certificate and the Award in Employability and Personal Development. You will also gain a functional skill.
