Tresham Learners Enjoy Record Results!

20 Aug 2009

A Level learners at Tresham College are celebrating are record pass rate and individual success stories today after receiving their A2 and AS Level results. Their hard work and determination, coupled with dedicated support from their lecturers and a range of support staff has led to a set of record results for the college in line with the College's new strategic plan and journey forward to becoming an outstanding learning provider in north Northamptonshire. Out of over 446 A2 Level entries in 17 different subjects the overall pass rate has increased by 8% from 2008 to 98% with 69% at grades A - C (also an increase of 12% from 2008). These excellent results mean that students will now be spending the next few days confirming their places at university or employment.

Katrina McCarthy, Director of Operations at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education, said:

"We are delighted with our overall A level pass rate which has seen an 8% increase from last year to 98% this year, which means over 400 success stories in individual subjects. It is the personal triumphs of our individual learners and a reflection of the commitment and skill of our dedicated staff which add up to the bigger picture of success".

Tresham staff are particularly pleased with the 100% pass rate in a wide range of subjects including: Art and Design, English Literature, Law, English Literature and Language, Psychology, Sociology, Photography, Drama, Media and History.

The AS results have also improved at Tresham with over 760 entries the pass rate has increased to 83%. Following their successes students are able to confirm their A2 Level subject choices at the College.
