Tresham Offers Higher Education Closer to Home

18 Aug 2009

As young people throughout the county await their A Level results on Thursday 20th August Tresham College of Further and Higher Education is reminding school leavers that there is local higher education provision at one of the College's campuses in north Northamptonshire.

The Push Student Debt Survey, the most detailed and largest to date analysis of student's financial position, showed findings that students starting higher education programmes this year can expect to graduate with debts of approximately £23,000.

Tresham College of Further and Higher Education works in partnership with local universities to offer a range of full and part time higher level programmes closer to home so that people leaving school or wishing to return to education can aim higher without the cost or upheaval of moving away to study.

Higher education courses available at the college include HND Graphic Communication, HND Computing, Foundation Degree in Fine Art, Foundation Degree in Business, Foundation Degree in Computer Systems Management, Cert Ed and PGCE, Diploma in Management Studies and more.

Tresham is currently working with local universities and local borough councils to increase the higher education programmes on offer at the College's campuses as part of its bid to be one of 20 new university centres in the UK set out by the government in its ‘A new University Challenge: Unlocking Britain's Talent' announced by John Denham MP in March 2008.
