The University of Bedfordshire

University of Bedfordshire LogoThe University of Bedfordshire was created from the merger between the University of Luton and De Montfort University’s Bedford campus in 2006.  Since then the university has experienced resounding success.  The number of students applying to study at Bedfordshire has nearly doubled in the last 2 years and applications increased by 54.5% in the last year alone (UCAS).  The university was recently awarded top marks - a ‘confidence' rating - in its Quality Assurance Agency Audit 2009.  All Tresham's HE teaching qualifications are offered in partnership with the University of Bedfordshire.  The University is one of the largest providers of teacher education in the UK, with 97 per cent of education graduates in work or further study within six months of graduating*. Its Graduate Teacher Programme was rated ‘outstanding' in its 2010 Ofsted report.
