Hairdressing

NVQs in Hairdressing can be taken at Levels 1 and 2 at our Corby and Kettering campuses.  Learners can progress to the Level 3 NVQ, which is offered at our Corby campus.  The NVQ 1 will give you a strong foundation by allowing you to develop your practical skills in our professional salons.  You will also learn essential theory that will improve your understanding of hairdressing.  The NVQ 2 builds on your hairdressing skills and will prepare you for local, national or international employment.  After completing the NVQ 2 and gaining a year's salon experience, you may decide to undertake the NVQ 3 in Hairdressing. The Hairdressing Salon Services Certificate is an Entry Level 3 course and is new to Tresham for 2009/10. 


Beauty and Holistic Therapies

The VTCT Entry Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification is available as a one year course.  NVQs 1, 2 and 3 can be taken at our Corby campus, while Kettering offers the NVQ Level 2, Massage Therapies NVQ 3 and the Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Therapies.  You will develop your skills in our professional salons.  The NVQ 1 allows you to study basic units in Facial Treatments, Manicures and Pedicures as well as Team Work, Client Care, Reception and Health and Safety units.  The NVQ 2 develops your skills further and will prepare you for employment or for further study at Level 3.
