Engineering, Motorsport and Motor Vehicle
Today's world is full of things designed and manufactured by engineers. Engineers are vital for the success of manufacturing within the UK. The college has excellent links with the industry and has helped learners gain apprenticeships with local companies.
Whether you wish to pursue a career in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Mechanics, Electrical Engineering or the exciting world of Motorsport, studying at Tresham will give you the qualification and set you on the right path. A variety of qualifications are offered as full and part time study.
Facilities
Motor Vehicle courses are run from our fully-equipped workshops at our Corby and Wellingborough campuses. The Silverstone Centre consists of two race shops for race car preparation, study areas, meeting room and IT Suite.
Full Time Courses
Full time courses are available in Electrical and Electronics Servicing, Mechanical Engineering, Motorsport, Vehicle Maintenance and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Courses are offered at Levels 2 and 3 and are designed to lead into employment or to further study in your chosen field.
Part Time Courses
Part time courses range from new technology classes including AutoCad to hands-on maintenance engineering with specialist machines. The first year of a Mechanical Engineering BTEC can be taken through part time study in association with De Montfort University.Apprenticeships
If you don't like the thought of returning to full-time education and are aged between16 and 24, why not consider an Apprenticeship? Apprenticeships are a great way to gain a recognised qualification whilst earning a wage or salary. Apprenticeships are recognised and valued by employers wanting a qualified and skilled workforce.
