Built into the programme are weekly tutorials, IT, literacy and communication, numeracy, health issues, independent living, art and craft, personal development, confidence within the community, leisure activities and current affairs. The learners may have the opportunity of trying out a variety of vocational subject areas, to develop career options.
During the programme some learners may also have the opportunity to work towards a vocational qualification option. You will work towards qualifications in cookery, communication and life skills via the Essential Skills Award and the City & Guilds 3340 Certificate in Food Studies. Learners will also work towards a variety of college certificates.

This programme has been designed for learners with mild to moderate learning difficulties. We offer places on the programme following a visit to the college, an interview and taster days at college, plus receipt of appropriate education reviews after discussions with you and other people linked with your education and development.
