Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance

This qualification provides you with a programme of learning focussed specifically on performance. You will also study theory, history and analysis of various musical genres. It gives an understanding of the vital skills needed to start a professional career or progress into higher education, and an insight into employment opportunities. Performing and working with other musicians is the core part of this course. In the first year you will work towards the Subsidiary Diploma, in year two this builds up to the Extended Diploma. Employability Skills will form part of your final qualifications.

Entry Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs at C or above including English and preferably maths or equivalent OR
  • A BTEC Level 2 Diploma in music with a satisfactory reference and equivalent English and preferably maths OR
  • A relevant equivalent Level 2 qualification with equivalent English and preferably maths.
  • Entry is subject to a successful interview and audition.

    Please note: A level of proficiency with your instrument/ singing is required. The focus of this course is the development of these skills in a performance context.

Progression
