Bankruptcy (also Debt Relief Orders) / Entering into an arrangement with creditors / Having a criminal conviction / Having a County Court Judgement is not necessarily a bar to registration, but we need to be sure of the suitability of our students to maintain public confidence in the accountancy profession. Progression

Membership of the AAT provides interesting and varied opportunities for career development, job mobility and choice. Full members of the AAT are fully-qualified accounting technicians and may use the designated letters MAAT. There are over 120,000 members across 90 countries.

This education and training scheme is practical and relevant. It is divided into units of competence where each unit covers the standards required for specific accounting activities. Because of this the qualification has always been highly regarded and respected by Industry.

Successful completion of a unit will demonstrate to employers exactly what an individual can do and credit is given by AAT for each unit as soon as it is completed. Units are assessed by computer based assessments (CBA) and formal written projects.

The Level 4 Diploma also gives certain exemptions for the qualifications of the sponsoring bodies (e.g. ACCA) and thus provides the opportunity for further career development. Recent students have also used the Level 4 Diploma as an exemption for up to 2 years of a degree course.

This fulltime version of the course is an excellent way of achieving a highly valued qualification at level 4 in just 2 years.
