Joe Syddall, 18 - Motorsport Race Technician
Joe has been studying for the Motorsport Race Technician apprenticeship since September 2007 and gained work placement at Mark Burdett Motorsport in June 2008.
"I decided to study to be a race technician at the National College for Motorsport because I love the engineering that goes into race cars and I wanted to learn how to work on them.
The National College for Motorsport is a brilliant way to get into the trade and gives you the necessary knowledge to pursue it as a career.
I have enjoyed working on the cars and learning how to weld. It has given me the basic knowledge of how a racing car works."
