Jamie Richardson, 19 - Motorsport Race Technician
Jamie studied for an apprenticeship as a Race Technician at the National College for Motorsport between September 2006 until June 2008. Jamie gained work experience at DS Motorsport.
"I decided to become a race technician after racing karts and working on them myself. I have always been interested in Motorsport in general and because of the quality of the course and the resources available I feel that attending the National College for Motorsport was the best decision.
I have enjoyed being in the workshop and learning the practical skills related to the different parts of the car and have an understanding of how the cars work now.
After studying this course it has given me the opportunity to get a job in the industry and learn as I work using the skills learnt at college to give me a basic understanding enabling me to develop my skills further."
