"Initially I found it hard to be taken seriously because of my gender and my educational background. I felt I had to prove to people my true, intended dedication to the subject and my full conviction towards achieving success in this career. The support I have received has been integral to boosting confidence in my own abilities and provided me with a strong base knowledge which has helped reaffirm my decision to pursue a career in the motorsport industry."

"My goal is to learn as much as I can about the mechanics of the cars with which I work, enabling me to become a competent mechanic. I want to nurture my confidence in order to work on, and run, my own car in forthcoming championships within my Formula. I intend to be open minded, but focused on the job in order to learn as much as I possibly can about mechanics and engineering. I want to carve out a successful career for myself in this industry and work hard as a race mechanic."
