Lucy Johnson, 17, is studying the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Photography. Lucy came to Tresham straight after completing her GCSEs.
"I found that none of the sixth forms around here offered photography which I knew I wanted to study. I'd been to Tresham for work experience during my GCSEs and worked with the art technicians so I knew the tutors here and what the campus was like.
The lecturers are really friendly and it's a fun environment to learn in. We've got some really good facilities on this course such as the darkroom and the photography studio too which is nice.
We've studied some interesting modules and they've been fun to do. We also have past students and professional photographers come in for talks which gives you an idea of the different routes you can go into and I like hearing from them. We also have a monthly in-house photography competition which is just for fun but it gives you something to work towards each month and I find it interesting to see the photographs that my classmates come up with."
Lucy plans on going to university to study fashion photography with the hope of eventually working for a fashion magazine.
