Zoe Tye, 21 - National Diploma Graphic Design
Zoe has studied the BTEC First Diploma in Art & Design and then progressed onto the National Diploma in Graphic Design after taking a year out from studying once she had completed her GCSEs at Montagu School.
"I didn't do too well in my GCSEs and after my year out I was at a point where I had to decide what I wanted to. I had always liked Art and the BTEC First Diploma in Art & Design offered so many options that I explored. At the end of the course I decided to continue into Graphics as it really appealed to me.
The encouragement that you get from other students and tutors always helps, the tutors really boost your confidence.
There is a big change from studying at secondary school to college, you are free to study what you choose during the course and specialise so you can express your own passions and you are always encouraged to do so."
Zoe now plans to continue onto the Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design offered at Tresham's new building and hopes to ‘top-up' the HND at University of Northampton to degree level.
