Darren Taylor, 22 - HND in Computing
Darren is studying for the Higher National Diploma in Computing after completing his GCSEs and a GNVQ in Computing at Ise Community College and gaining an AVCE in Computing at Tresham.
"I wanted to come to Tresham because it has a more mature atmosphere and I know a few friends that have already studied at the college and they recommended it.
I have enjoyed meeting new people. I have increased in self confidence tenfold since starting here and it's amazing how far I've come both in my computing skills and personal skills. Before I studied here I didn't like talking to people or speaking in presentations but I can actually do them now.
I would recommend coming here, you get more one to one tuition and if you need help the tutors are always there to help you. They are never too busy."
Once Darren completes his HND in Computing he plans to progress to De Montfort University to top-up his HND to a degree in Computing and hopes to set up his own programming or hardware business.
