As unemployment figures rise, according to BBC News, the current jobless rate for 18 to 24 year olds has risen to 12.4%, an issue that needs to be tackled with the help of local colleges and education providers.

Tresham is working in partnership with Job Centre Plus and Nextstep to help those who have been unemployed for six months or more, to get the skills to help them find a job. Courses run for less than 15 hours a week and do not affect entitlements to benefits and are all free.
Tresham offers a wide variety of full and part time courses in vocational subjects and A Levels starting in September, as well as bespoke training that can be arranged throughout the year to suit individuals and business needs.
Apprenticeship training is also available to people aged 16 or over. Apprenticeships offer people the opportunity to earn as they learn in a variety of careers including traditional offers in Construction and Engineering, as well as Accountancy, Care, Information Technology and Sports and Leisure.
